'Thanks A Million' -- Dayton, Ohio

The Kids in Need Foundation’s ‘Thanks A Million’ event supported teachers in Dayton, Ohio at a recent distribution event! The teacher appreciation event was hosted by Crayons to Classrooms– an organization that provides essential supplies to teachers of at-risk students to ensure that the students have the necessary tools to engage, learn, and succeed in school.

The event celebrated the remarkable efforts of 200 Greater Dayton Area Teachers and distributed books – provided by the Marine Toys for Tots Literacy Program – school supplies and giveaways valued at $1,000. Twenty-two volunteers and four Marines from Company C, 4^th LE BN, contributed to the success of the event.

Teachers go above and beyond to ensure that their students are receiving the necessary educational resources that will contribute to children’s success in school and later in life. Events like the ‘Thanks A Million event’ are just one way we can give back to teachers. Every teacher was extremely overjoyed and thankful to have received the school supplies!
